The Sky selected Angie Bjorklund with the 17th pick of the draft.

Playing both forward and guard for the University of Tennessee, Bjorklund is arguably the best three-point shooter in the history of the Lady Volunteers storied program.

Bjorklund earned a top spot in the prestigious UT record books when she finished her career with 300 three-pointers. She was also a key component in the Lady Vols single-season record for three-pointers, 242, which was set this season.

Bjorklund was a two-time AP All-American Honorable Mention honoree. The psychology major was also named second-team Academic All-American, and first team as a junior.

She averaged 11.1 points per game and shot career-bests 45.0 percent overall and 45.3 percent on three-pointers as a senior.

Bjorklund, who is originally from Spokane Valley, Washington, graduated from University High School where she led her team to a 25-3 record and a second place finish in the state tournament. She was selected as a McDonalds and WBCA All-American in 2007.
