Cheyenne Parker played for Henan Yichuan in China in her first season playing internationally. Henan finished in the top spot of the bottom-ranked division. Parker was a dominate presence in the post for her team, landing in the top position in rebounds per game (14.1) and the top three in points per game (26.1) and blocks per game (1.5) in the WCBA. Parker was also named to the South All-Star Team in the 2016 WCBA All-Star game.


Update: January 26, 2016

This week, Henan faced Liaoning in its playoff series. The teams split the series evenly 1-1. On January 23, Henan fell to Liaoning 88-71. Parker recorded 13 points and nine rebounds. In round two of the playoffs, Henan edged past Liaoning 73-72. Parker had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. She continues to lead her team in points scored (17.5), rebounds (12.1) and blocks (2.1).



Update: January 19, 2016

Parker has been having a dominating week of performances. After defeating Heilongjiang in its two-game series, Henan returned the following week to take on Jiangsu. Parker averaged 25.0 points and 18.0 rebounds against Jiangsu. On January 16, Parker was the top performer of the game, totaling 36 points and 13 rebounds against Shandong. Henan defeated Shandong in game one of the two-game series 83-74. In game two, Shandong edged Henan 84-80.



Update: January 5, 2016

Henan is on a five-game winning streak, which is also the team’s first win streak all season. In the last five games, Parker has recorded double-doubles. In four of those five games, she has scored more than 20 points. In Henan’s third win against Shandong, Parker posted 30 points and 11 rebounds, both of which were highs for the game. She is second in the WCBA in rebounding (12.7 rpg) and in blocks (1.8 bpg), all while averaging 18.5 points per game.



Update: December 16, 2015

Parker exploded on December 10 against Shandong and emerged as both the top scorer and top rebounder of the game. She had a double-double with 25 points and 22 rebounds and paced Henan to a 75-69 victory. On December 12, Henan dropped its third game to Bayi this season. Parker scored nine points and was the team’s top rebounder with 11 boards. Henan faced top-ranked Jiangsu on December 15 and was edged by the host 81-66. Parker recorded 18 points, six rebounds and six assists.



Update: December 8, 2015

Parker had a career night on December 5 against Liaoning on the road. She scored 31 points which was accompanied by 16 rebounds and seven blocks. Henan won a close battle 69-67. On December 8, Henan dropped its second road game in the past week. Parker was Henan’s star player with 20 points and 11 rebounds, but her performance was not enough to get the win. Henan fell 83-75 to Heilongjiang after falling behind by 12 points at halftime. Henan is currently 2-5.



Update: December 1, 2015

Henan lost both of its games last week. Shandong defeated Henan 90-74 on November 26, after losing to Henan twice before in the regular season. Parker was the top performer for Henan with 21 points and 14 rebounds. On November 28, Henan fell short of a win against Bayi, a team that Henan has defeated twice in the regular season. Parker scored 19 points and gathered six rebounds. Henan recorded its third loss of the week against teammate Jessica Breland and Jiangsu 77-70. Parker recorded a double-double 19 points and 13 rebounds. Parker is one of the top scorers for Henan and the team’s only player to average a double-double; she averages 16.4 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game.



Update: November 24, 2015

Henan opened the second stage 1-1 this past week. Parker had back-to-back top performances, recording 19 points and 13 rebounds in an 80-72 loss to Liaoning and 19 points and 13 rebounds in a 75-66 win over Heilongjiang. Henan ended the WCBA regular season 3-7.

Henan is currently on hiatus before the second half of the season begins.



Update: November 10, 2015

Henan lost its fourth consecutive game to Jiangsu on November 5. Jiangsu maintained the lead for the majority of the game and almost slipped under in the fourth quarter, but Henan could not grab an advantage. Jiangsu defeated fifth-placed Henan 94-83. Parker recorded her fourth double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Henan recovered from its lost to take control of bottom-ranked Shandong on November 7, cruising to a 79-58 victory. Parker scored nine points and grabbed a game-high 19 rebounds. Henan dropped its second game over the week to Shanghai 70-54 on November 10. Henan was outrebounded 45-23 and got trumped in the paint 46-22. Parker had a double-double 12 points and 11 rebounds.




Update: November 03, 2015

Henan suffered from two losses at home this week. Shandong defeated Henan 81-66, a game in which Parker had 12 points and nine rebounds. She was the team’s top rebounder in that game. On November 3, Henan fell 93-88 to top-ranked Guangdong. Henan trailed by as much as 15 points in the contest. Parker led with 18 points and five rebounds in Henan’s third consecutive loss. Parker is currently second in the WCBA in blocks per game (1.8), third in steals per game (2.5) and fifth in rebounds per game (10.3).



Update: October 28, 2015

Parker made her debut on October 24 as Henan defeated Shandong 72-60. Parker recorded a double double of 14 points and 13 rebounds in her first international game. Henan hosted Shanghai on October 27, but dropped the ball 79-72. Parker had her second consecutive double double, however, with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
