Sky To Compete in Preseason Event at Mohegan Sun Arena

For the third consecutive season, the Chicago Sky will participate in a special two-day preseason event at Mohegan Sun Arena on May 2 and 3 with the New York Liberty, the Los Angeles Sparks and the host Connecticut Sun.

To tip off the event on May 2, the Liberty and the Sparks will take the court at 4 p.m. CDT with the Sky scheduled to play the Sun immediately following at 6 p.m. CDT. On May 3, the Sky will face the Liberty at 4 p.m. CDT with the Sun meeting the Sparks in the second game to close out the night.

Last season the Sky split two preseason games at Mohegan Sun Arena, falling to the Connecticut Sun 84-81 in their opening game before defeating the Atlanta Dream 95-75 the following evening.

“Our team is eager to once again compete in this well organized event. The games give us the ability to face two quality opponents early in training camp,” said Head Coach Amber Stocks. “This road trip also provides us the opportunity to continue growing our team chemistry and evaluate our training camp roster in a competitive environment.”

The Sky will host opening night at Allstate Arena on May 19 against the Atlanta Dream. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. CDT. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 866.SKY.WNBA or visit CHICAGOSKY.NET.
