Chicago Sky Sign Adut Bulgak

The Chicago Sky have signed Adut Bulgak [Uh-DOOT Bull-GOCK], a 6’4 forward/center, from Florida State University and a 2016 first-round draft pick by the New York Liberty. In seven games with the Liberty, she averaged 3.3 mpg, 2 ppg and 1.3 rpg.

Most recently, Bulgak played for IDK Gipuzkoa Universidad Del Pais Vasco in Spain and averaged 11.8 ppg, and 8.9 rpg.

In 2014 and 2015, Bulgak played for the Canadian Senior Women’s National Developmental Team where she averaged 21.6 mpg, 15.6 ppg and 10.7 rpg, and ranked second among all players in rebounds. During this time, Bulgak also helped lead her team to a championship in the William Jones Cup in Taiwan and a Silver Medal at the World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea.

Prior to her professional career, Bulgak spent two seasons at Florida State University where she averaged 12.5 ppg and 8.7 rpg. She ranks fourth in rebounding and ninth in blocked shots in program history. Bulgak played her freshman and sophomore seasons at Trinity Valley Community College, where she was named 2014 NJCCA Division I Player of the Year.

Bulgak replaces Keisha Hampton who will miss the remainder of the 2017 season after undergoing knee surgery.
