2015 Season in Review: Tamera Young

In her seventh season with the Chicago Sky, Tamera Young brought a unique spark to the team that no other Sky player had done last season. Young missed 15 games of the 2015 season, due to a thumb injury. Yet, during her recovery time Young contributed off-the-court by offering coaching insights to her teammates. The help received from the nine-year WNBA veteran paid off as the Sky went 9-6 in her absence.

Young’s best performance of the 2015 season came on August 4 when the Sky defeated Indiana and completed its first regular season sweep against the Fever. In twenty minutes of action, she scored a season-best 14 points and grabbed six rebounds in her second game back from injury.

The Sky veteran recorded back-to-back games scoring in double figures on August 29 (at Atlanta) and August 30 (versus Connecticut), in which she scored 10 points in both games. Young ended the season averaging 4.5 points per game and 2.9 rebounds per game.
