Sky Overseas + Offseason Updates: Rundown No. 6

CHICAGO (November 28, 2023) — Ten Chicago Sky players are currently participating in domestic or overseas play this offseason. Below are the listed players, their respective teams, league and country.

Sika Koné and Avenida recorded two close wins over the past week against Polkowice and Cadí La Seu. Koné had a big week, leading the team in points and rebounds in both games. She averaged 17.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in her two appearances this week.

In total, Koné is averaging 12.8 points and 8.0 rebounds with Avenida this season and 16.3 points, 8.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks since Oct. 21.

With two wins this past week, Avenida extended their win streak to five. Avenida stays undefeated atop the Spanish League standings at 9-0. Koné and Avenida next play Nov. 29 for a EuroLeague game against UNI Gyor.

Elizabeth Williams and Marina Mabrey helped extend Mersin’s win streak to nine games on Nov. 22 against Tarbes. Mersin still has lost just once since Williams and Mabrey joined the team.

Williams stuffed the stat sheet in their one matchup this week, recording 14 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks. She has four games this season with multiple blocks and is averaging 10.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals this season.

Mabrey led Mersin in scoring for the fifth game in a row on Nov. 22, scoring 20 points and shooting 80.0% (4 of 5) from downtown. During her stretch of leading Mersin in scoring, Mabrey is averaging 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 50.7% (38 of 75) from the floor and 47.2% (17 of 36) from three.

Williams and Mabrey next take the floor for Mersin on Nov. 29 against Bourges.

Dana Evans had a huge two-game stretch for Beşiktaş, helping the club rebound from a two-game slide last week. Evans averaged 27.0 points, 10.0 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals in her two appearances this week. She also made nine of her 15 threes this week on 60.0% shooting.

Her 12-assist outing on Nov. 25 was a season high, pairing with her 26 points for her first points-assists double-double of the season.

Beşiktaş’s next game is on Nov. 29 against Panathinaikos.

Courtney Williams and Shaanxi played in one game this week, but had a big seven-point win over Tianjin. She recorded 27 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals in the victory. Williams is now averaging 21.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists this season.

Shaanxi next hits the floor on Nov. 28 against Jiangsu.

Morgan Bertsch recorded an 18-point outing on Nov. 22 in a EuroCup game against Gorzow Wielkopolski following a week in which Girona dropped just its second game since she joined the team. Bertsch averaged 11.0 points over the past week.

Bertsch next plays on Nov. 29, when Girona takes on Piestanske Cajky.

While Emlak dropped both its games this week, Alanna Smith averaged 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in two games. On Nov. 22 against Roche, Smith had one of her best games with Emlak, recording 17 points, eight rebounds, three steals and a season-high four blocks.

Emlak is next scheduled to play on Nov. 29 against Arka Gdynia in a EuroCup matchup.

Taylor Soule played her season high in minutes against Landes, scoring a season-high 17 points to go along with four rebounds and two steals. Soule is averaging 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.7 steals in seven games for San Martino. Their next game is on Dec. 3 against Nesibe.

Robyn Parks scored 13 total points this week, with Schio splitting its two games. On Nov. 25 against Brescia, Parks played a team-high 31 minutes and accounted for five rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals along with her nine points in the six-point win. Schio next takes the floor on Nov. 29 against Valencia.

Chicago Sky players currently overseas are a combined 69-27 (.719 win percentage) with their teams so far this season when joining their team.
