In the first game, a 77-67 victory on March 27, Mabrey approached a triple-double with 12 points and a team-leading nine assists and nine rebounds. Williams scored 23 points to go along with eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal in the win.

Mabrey again came close to a triple-double in the team’s 91-64 win on March 29 to clinch a berth in the championship. She recorded 19 points and seven rebounds while leading all players with eight assists. Mabrey is averaging 8.7 assists in her last three games, all wins. Williams also stuffed the stat sheet in the win, recording 11 points, five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals.

On the other side of the bracket, Fenerbahce is up 1-0 in the semifinals series against Galatasaray. Whoever wins that series faces Mersin in the final. The second game between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray is not yet scheduled, though Mersin is still scheduled to face Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague semifinals on April 12.

Dana Evans’ Beşiktaş fell in both of their semifinal games against Mersin, meaning Beşiktaş is now eliminated. Evans recorded a team-leading 19 points as well as four rebounds in the loss on March 27. Evans again led her team again in scoring on March 29 with 20 points.

Though Evans and Beşiktaş are now eliminated from the Turkish League playoffs, their season is not over. Beşiktaş is scheduled to face the London Lions on April 3 and April 10 in the EuroCup finals.

Sika Koné contributed to a pair of Avenida wins this week, helping beat Valencia on March 28 and Araski on March 31. Koné recorded seven points and seven rebounds in the win over Valencia. In the following game, she scored 24 points to lead all players in scoring. She also recorded six rebounds and two assists. Her 28 minutes and 24 points against Araski are her most since Feb. 2 against Gran Canaria.

Koné and Avenida are next scheduled to continue Spanish League play on April 6 against Ensino. Avenida is in second in the Turkish League standings at 24-5, 0.5 games behind top-ranked Valencia.
