CHICAGO (January 16, 2024) — Eleven Chicago Sky players are currently participating in domestic or overseas play this offseason. Below are the listed players, their respective teams, league and country.

Rebekah Gardner made her return to professional play, suiting up for Girona on Jan. 10, helping lead the team to a EuroCup victory over Cadi La Seu. Gardner scored 12 points on 75.0% shooting from the field (3 of 4), adding four rebounds and two assists in her return. Girona defeated Cadi La Seu 68-52 in the Round of 8 with help from Gardner and teammate Morgan Bertsch’s contributions. Gardner did not play in Girona’s following game, a victory over Ensino in Spanish league play.

Bertsch recorded five points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the win over Cadi La Seu. She scored 11 points, four rebounds and three assists in the 74-47 victory over Ensino.

Gardner and Bertsch are next scheduled to play on Jan. 18 against Cadi La Seu once again in the Round of 8 in EuroCup. After this week’s games, Girona sits at fifth in the Spanish League standings, tied with Estudiantes and 2.0 games back of third-ranked Avenida. Girona is 6-0 in Eurocup play and atop the Group B standings.

Fresh off a Turkish Cup Final run, Elizabeth Williams and Marina Mabrey helped lead CBK Mersin to a pair of victories over the past week. Behind a pair of impressive performances from Williams and Mabrey, Mersin defeated Polkowice, 66-59, in a EuroLeague matchup on Jan. 10 and Bursa, 85-54, in a Turkish League game on Jan. 13.

Williams recorded 14 points and eight rebounds in the win over Polkowice. In the following win over Bursa, Williams stuffed the stat sheet with a team-leading nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals to go along with 10 points.

Mabrey led all scorers in both games she played this week, averaging 24.5 points across two games. She approached a triple-double against Polkowice, recording eight rebounds and nine assists. In her last five games, Mabrey is shooting 42.2% from beyond the arc on 9.0 attempts per game.

After this week’s games, Mersin sits second in the Turkish League standings at 13-6 and second in EuroLeague’s Group B standings at 7-4. Mersin is 6.0 games behind Fenerbahce in the Turkish League and is 3.0 games behind USK Praha in Group B. Williams and Mabrey are next scheduled to play on Jan. 17 against Bologna in a EuroLeague game.

Robyn Parks helped lead Schio to a big victory over Fenerbahce, who was coming off a Turkish Cup Final victory, on Jan. 11. Parks recorded 11 points and seven rebounds in the victory, which aided in narrowing the gap between Schio and Fenerbahce in the EuroLeague Group A standings to 2.0 games.

Parks and Schio fell in the following game, an Italian League matchup with San Giovanni, on Jan. 14. She scored a team-leading 20 points in the loss on 63.6% shooting. Parks is averaging 16.8 points in her last nine games.

Schio has a chance to further climb the Group A standings in EuroLeague with a matchup against Lyon on deck for Jan. 17.

Taylor Soule helped lead San Martino to a 96-63 victory over Milano on Jan. 14. She recorded 19 points, four rebounds and three steals in the win. Soule is averaging 14.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals in her past eight games.

San Martino now sits at 8-5 in league standings after the victory over Milano. Soule and San Martino are next scheduled to play Jan. 21 against Faenza.

Dana Evans and Beşiktaş recorded two victories over the past week, defeating Bourges in a Round of 8 EuroCup game on Jan. 11 and beating Cankaya in a Turkish League matchup on Jan. 14. Beşiktaş won both games by a combined 44 points.

Evans scored 23 points on 42.9% (3 of 7) shooting from three in the Round of 8 victory. In the following game against Cankaya, Evans recorded nine points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals. She’s averaging 22.8 points and 7.2 assists in five games in January so far.

Sika Koné averaged 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds across two games this week for Avenida. Avenida fell in both games, losing to USK Praha on Jan. 10 and Cadi La Seu on Jan. 13. Koné and Avenida next play on Jan. 17 against Landes. Avenida is 13-4 in Spanish League play, 2.0 games out of first place, and is 5-6 in EuroLeague play.

Alanna Smith did not appear in a game this week. Her next game with Emlak is scheduled for Jan. 21 against Kayseri.

Courtney Williams did not appear in a game this week. Her next game with Shaanxi is scheduled for Feb. 17 against Xianjiang.

Chicago Sky players currently overseas are a combined 118-74 (.615 win percentage) with their teams so far this season when joining their team.
