The Chicago Sky will travel to Atlanta on Saturday, August 29 to face the Dream. Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm CT at Philips Arena. The Sky will look to continue its two-game winning streak after defeating the Washington Mystics twice this past weekend.

Saturday’s contest will be the fourth time these teams have met this season. Chicago currently leads the season series 2-1, and the team is eager to collect another win. The Sky and Dream met most recently at Allstate Arena on July 21. Chicago secured a 97-92 victory behind 27 points and 8 rebounds from Elena Delle Donne. Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley also posted big performances, scoring 19 and 23 points, respectively for the Sky. The Dream was led by Matee Ajavon with 21 points and Tiffany Hayes with 19 points.

The July 21 contest took place before the three-team trade with Chicago, Atlanta and Minnesota. Therefore, in that game Erika de Souza still played for the Dream. She scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds against the Sky. Now a member of Chicago’s roster, Saturday will be the first time that de Souza faces off against her former team. So far this season, de Souza is averaging 7.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

De Souza will be a critical force in the Sky’s game on Saturday. In the last contest between these teams, Atlanta outscored Chicago in the paint 52-42. Nevertheless, the Sky escaped with a narrow victory. De Souza’s presence in the frontcourt will be beneficial by adding to the team’s performance under the basket in both scoring and rebounding.

Another key to victory on Saturday is ball movement. Chicago has been consistent this season in sharing the basketball. The team averages 15.2 assists on 31.4 made field goals per game. Continuing this trend will lead the Sky past the Dream.
