She learned to tumble wherever there was space in the grass, in the alleys, in the streets, on a mattress or even on concrete. Every flip became a leap of faith, watched over by aunties and uncles who believed in her roar long before the world ever heard it.

Her roar came from the rhythm of Chicago, the L train, loud and unshaken, just like the city that raised her, clattering through the skyline, a reminder that Chicago never stops.

In a city where nothing is handed to you, and every block moves to its own beat. She followed the sound, pounding out Chicago’s heartbeat, with music echoing off brick walls, carrying her forward.

She learned the flow of footwork, the city’s pulse made visible. A language you don’t just learn, you live. Every step telling a story of survival, pride, and joy.

She faced doubt, limits, and labels. But with the city that raised her standing right behind her, she walks with power and purpose, a protector of pride, a lioness with wisdom in her eyes and fire in her stride.
