Fresh off Sydney Taylor’s second game-winning, buzzer-beating shot of the season (becoming the first rookie to ever do so), the Chicago Sky are poised to take on the Indiana Fever at home.

The Sky are not only looking to build on a three-game win streak, but also to avenge their last game against Indiana.

In a tight 90-86 loss at the United Center on Aug. 8, the Sky saw multiple players step up to go on a 14-4 run and keep the game close through the fourth quarter. Rachel Banham and Natasha Cloud notched 17 points, a season-high for Banham.

Their first matchup of the 2026 season saw another close contest, with Skylar Diggins forcing the game into overtime with a clutch basket. Despite the 114-106 loss, Diggins put up 21 points and Taylor had her first career-high 30-point game on 10-of-14 shooting.

Taylor will be one to watch in this matchup as she solidified her Rookie of the Year campaign with her historic buzzer-beating win against the Golden State Valkyries on Friday night. With 1.6 seconds left, the rookie drilled a three-pointer, securing a 73-70 victory over the Valkyries. In addition to the game-winning shot, Taylor had 14 points, including four three-pointers that put her ahead as the league’s leader in three-pointers made by a rookie this season.

Kamilla Cardoso was a force on both sides of the ball in last night's victory, posting her 14th double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Stopping Indiana, which has the highest-scoring offense in the WNBA (96.1 PPG), will require not only getting stops, but Sky bigs crashing the glass.

Indiana has been on a tear recently, with its five-game win streak coming to an end Aug. 20 in a 91-85 loss against Dallas. Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlin Clark, the dynamic Fever backcourt, are second and third in the league in scoring at 24.6 and 21.7 points per game, respectively. In addition to this duo is four-time WNBA All-Star Aliyah Boston, who enters the matchup averaging 16.9 points and 8.6 rebounds on the season.

The two teams meet on hot streaks to settle their final matchup of the season as the Sky look to keep their playoff dreams alive. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. CST inside Wintrust Arena and will be nationally broadcast on NBC and Peacock.
