The Sky kicks off the 2016 preseason on Sunday, May 1 at the Bob Carpenter Center! In Sunday’s action the Chicago Sky will host the New York Liberty in a game presented by the Delaware Lottery. It’s a homecoming as Elena Delle Donne and the Sky take the court at inside the BOB for the third consecutive season with tip-off set for 2 p.m. ET.

Chicago will look to remain undefeated (2-0) in the Blue Hen State with victories in each of their first two appearances at the BOB. The game features a rematch of last preseason when Delle Donne shined in her return leading all scorers in the game with 16 points as Chicago topped New York, 83-55. In addition to their victory over New York last season, the Sky recorded a 76-69 win over the Washington Mystics in 2014 led by double-double performances from Delle Donne and Vandersloot with 17 points and 10 rebounds and 15 points and 11 assists, respectively.

“Delaware has become a second home for us,” said sixth-year Sky Head Coach & General Manager Pokey Chatman. “The support we’ve received over the past three seasons has been unconditional. The BOB has become a familiar place for our players and an electric environment for WNBA basketball. This year, with the added excitement of Elena returning as MVP, will be very memorable.”

Now a three-time WNBA All-Star and the league’s reigning MVP, Delle Donne begins her fourth season with the Sky Sunday alongside back-to-back WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year Allie Quigley and seven-time WNBA All-Star Cappie Pondexter.
