CHICAGO (April 13, 2021)- The Chicago Sky announced today the signing of Alexis Prince and Jessica January to training camp contracts.
Originally selected 29th overall by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2017 WNBA Draft, Prince spent the final two games of the season with the Sky in 2020. She scored a season-high five points in the regular season finale against the Dallas Wings while snatching two rebounds. The former Baylor Bear played 18 games with the Mercury during her rookie campaign in 2017.
January, who played her collegiate basketball in Chicago at DePaul University, has had multiple stints in the WNBA since finishing her career with the Blue Demons. She most recently was with the Indiana Fever in May of 2020 and previous to that spent time with the Connecticut Sun. While at DePaul, January was named to the All-Big East Tournament Team, earned a top-25 list nod for the John R. Wooden Award and finished her career as the program’s No. 4 all-time assists leader.
