CHICAGO – The Chicago Sky has acquired a 2020 third-round draft pick from the Minnesota Lynx in exchange for center Alaina Coates, Sky General Manager and Head Coach James Wade announced today.
“We would like to thank Alaina Coates for her hard work and dedication to our organization,” Wade said. “We wish her nothing but the best moving forward.”
Chicago will face Minnesota for the team’s season opener on Saturday, May 25 at Target Center in Minneapolis. The Sky host the defending WNBA Champion Seattle Storm for the home opener at Wintrust Arena on Saturday, June 1. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
