Chicago Sky Waive Ameryst Alston

The Chicago Sky have waived Ameryst Alston, the team announced.

The 5-foot-9 guard out of Ohio State University was selected by the Liberty in the second round of the 2016 WNBA Draft with the 24th overall selection.

After appearing in three games for the New York Liberty in the past two years, Alston signed a training camp contract with the Sky on March 27.

Alston played in three preseason games with Chicago racking up 10 points in 23 minutes.

General Manager and Head Coach Amber Stocks must have the 12-player roster finalized by Thursday, May 17.
