CHICAGO SKY RELEASES 2019 LOCAL TV BROADCAST SCHEDULE
CHICAGO – The Chicago Sky announced today the local television broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2019 season. WCIU returns as the official television partner of the Sky, and will broadcast 23 regular season games on The UToo.
Live game coverage on The UToo begins with Chicago’s home opener on June 1 at 7:00 p.m. when the Sky hosts the defending WNBA champion Seattle Storm at Wintrust Arena.
The UToo’s extensive coverage includes matchups against all 11 opposing WNBA teams, as well as game highlights, player and coach profiles, exclusive team content and behind-the-scenes footage. The local television schedule features 15 home and 8 road contests.
Sky play-by-play announcer Lisa Byington returns to join color analyst Jordan Cornette for all WCIU broadcasts. Cornette currently serves as co-host of WCIU’s “The Jam” and “Kap & Co.” on ESPN 1000. He is also a TV studio analyst and color commentator for ESPN. Cornette played basketball collegiately at the University of Notre Dame, where he is the all-time leader in blocked shots. The broadcast team will be rounded out by longtime Chicago Sky sideline reporter Patricia Babcock-McGraw, who will provide fans with live sit-interviews and unique storytelling for the team’s on-air and digital properties.
Additionally, all Chicago Sky games will be streamed on WNBA League Pass, which is available for download on iOS and Android devices. Select games will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network and NBA TV, as well as broadcast live on Twitter.
