Getting to Know Allie Quigley
Q: If you could change one thing about the world what would it be and why?
A: I wish everyone could just get along, because life is beautiful and people need to just enjoy it and not worry about the things that don’t matter.
Q: What was one thing that made a big impact on you as a kid?
A: I would say my parents, always getting me in the gym and making athletics fun for me but at the same time instilling hard work and making school important too.
Q: As a player in the WNBA how would you like to influence the game of basketball and where do you see it going?
A: I think it’s only getting better, hopefully we’ll get some more teams soon. I would like to show that anyone can make it and if a girl thinks maybe she can’t, she’s too small, or too anything, if she works hard she can make it.
Q: Who inspires you?
A: My sister
Q: If you could have dinner with any person who would it be?
A: Steph Curry
Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: Just someone who always had fun, enjoyed playing basketball, and a good teammate.
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: The Great Gatsby
Q: What would you be if you weren’t a basketball player?
A: Probably a singer, or someone who is musically talented at least
Q: Favorite holiday?
A: Mother’s day
Q: What other sport would you play besides basketball?
A: Volleyball
Q: Why did you start playing basketball?
A: My parents both played, they were coaches, so I was in the gym all the time and I enjoyed it so I kept playing
Q: What does the Sky mean to you?
A: Opportunity, home, and happiness
Q: What is your personal mission statement?
A: Either “Don’t take life too seriously” or “You get what you give”.
