Sky Re-Sign Forward Jordan Hooper

CHICAGO – The Chicago Sky announced that the team has re-signed forward Jordan Hooper. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not announced.

“Jordan is an impact player with unbelievable competitive character,” said Sky General Manager and Head Coach Amber Stocks. “She’s a hard worker and she’s always prepared. Every day for practice and every day for games, Jordan is prepared and ready to go. And, she loves playing basketball. She makes basketball look fun.”

A 6’2” forward from Nebraska, Hooper was selected 13th overall in the 2014 WNBA Draft by the Tulsa Shock (now renamed Dallas Wings).

She was acquired by the Sky in 2017 as part of a midseason trade with the Atlanta Dream. Hooper is currently playing for the Canberra Capitals in Australia for the 2018 WNBA offseason.

“I am so excited to have signed with the Sky for the 2018 season,” Hooper said. “I really appreciate Coach Stocks for believing in me and giving me the opportunity last season and the upcoming one. I know this will be a great season and I’m really looking forward to calling Chicago home.”

The 2018 WNBA season kicks off in May. The Chicago Sky will play all 17 home games at the new, 10,387-seat Wintrust Arena in the South Loop. Season ticket memberships are available now by calling (866) SKY-WNBA or by visiting chicagosky.net.
