Chicago Sky General Manager and Head Coach, Amber Stocks, has confirmed the roster to begin the 2017 WNBA regular season. The roster features 5 returning Sky members, including: Imani Boyette, Jessica Breland, Cheyenne Parker, Cappie Pondexter and Tamera Young. Allie Quigley and Courtney Vandersloot will return to the Sky when their international competition is complete.
The Sky have also suspended Jamierra Faulkner and Astou Ndour for the 2017 season due to injuries. The Sky will continue to monitor the progress of rookie Alaina Coates as she rehabilitates an ankle injury she sustained while playing at the University of South Carolina.
The Sky begin the 34-game regular season on May 14 at the Minnesota Lynx. The game features the debut of first-year Head Coach, Amber Stocks. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcast locally on The U Too and streamed on WNBA League Pass.
