    Spartak drops regular season finale

    Epiphanny Prince scored seven points, grabbed three rebounds and recorded three assists as Spartak fell to Halcon Avenida 75-64 in Salamanca, Spain.

    Spartak finished the Euroleague regular season with a 6-4 record which was good enough to lock them into the 8th seed headed into post season play.

    Prince Dominates in win over Tarbes, Thorn

    Epiphanny Prince scored a game-high 21 points and Spartak defeated Tarbes 78-61 in Eurleague action at Tarbes, France.

    Erin Thorn chipped in eight points for Tarbes.

    Prince shot 9-of-14 from the field, including 9-of-13 from inside the 3-point arc. Prince also added three rebounds and a pair of assists.

    The win pushes Spartak to 6-3 in Eurleague play and second place in Group C. Tarbes fell to 3-6 and is in last place in the group.

    Prince Leads Spartak Past ZVVZ USK Prague

    Epiphanny Prince and Spartak dominated ZVVZ USK Prague in an 85-54 Euroleague win Wednesday at Vidnoje, Russia.

    Prince scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed five rebounds. She made 8-of-12 field goal attempts and 2-of-3 attempts from the free throw line.

    Headed into the holiday break Prince is averaging 17.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while shooting over 50 percent from the field.

    Spartak is out to a 5-3 start and sits in second place, just one game behind Group C leaders Halcon Avenida. Spartak will resume play on January 13 against Erin Thorn and Tarbes.

    Fowles, Galatasaray Take Round 2 from Spartak

    In an ongoing battle that could very well decide who advances from Group C of Euroleague, Sylvia Fowles carried Galatasaray to an 85-83 home victory of Pokey Chatman, Epiphanny Prince and Spartak to even up the season series.

    Sylvia Fowles scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, both team-highs. Fowles made 7-of-11 attempts from the field and shot 6-of-8 from the free throw line. Her 12 rebounds were split evenly between the offensive and defensive end.

    Prince shot 3-of-4 from beyond the 3-point arc and finished with 17 points. Spartak is currenlty 4-2 and in a tie for third place.

    The win puts Galatasaray, currently in last place, at 2-4 and in striking distance of advancing.

    Prince, Spartak Stomp VICI Aistes

    A steady dose of Epiphanny Prince and Lauren Jackson was too much to handle for VICI Aistes as Spartak stomped them in Euroleauge action today in Vidnoje, Russia.

    Prince scored 21 points to help Pokey Chatman and Spartak to an 85-52 win. Prince shot 9-of-10 from the field. The only shot she missed was one of her two 3-point attempts. She also recorded six assists and six steals.

    Lauren Jackson (Seattle Storm) scored a game-high 28 points.

    Prince, Spartak Down Halcon Avenida

    Epiphanny Prince chipped in a solid 12 points, seven assists and five rebounds as Spartak defeated Halcon Avenida 72-60 at Vidnoje, Russia.

    Spartak pulled away in the fourth quarter, extending its lead from three points with 9:42 left to 70-57 with 2:02 left. Over the run Prince scored five points.

    Prince helps Spartak back to .500

    Another solid performance by Epiphanny Prince helped Spartak defeat Erin Thorn and her French Tarbes, 87-55 in Russia.

    Prince chipped in 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line.

    Thorn poured in a team-high 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field and grabbed five rebounds.

    Thorn made a 3-point basket to get herself on the board, and get her team within 10 points of Spartak at the 6:26 mark of the second quarter. Prince responded by sinking a jump shot helping Spartak extend its lead once again. After that Spartak maintained its lead until putting the game out of reach headed into halftime.

    Lauren Jackson (Seattle Storm) scored a game-high 24 points for Spartak.

    Coach Pokey Chatman now has her Spartak team at 2-2 in second place behind the undefeated Halcon Avenida, while Tarbes fell to 1-3 in the competitive Group C.

    Spartak falls to ZVVZ USK Prague

    Epiphanny Prince had another stellar game but it wasn't enough as Spartak fell to ZVVZ USK Prague in a tightly played game, 73-72.

    Prince scored 15 points, dished out eight assists and grabbed seven rebounds. On the season Prince is now averaging 18.7 points, five assists and two steals per game.

    Spartak is now 1-2 overall and in third place in what should prove to be a very competitive Group C.

    Prince Leads Spartak over Galatasaray, Fowles

    Epiphanny Prince scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds as Spartak defeated Galatasaray, 66-40 today in Euroleague action in Moscow.

    Sylvia Fowles led the Galatasaray attack with 8 points and 10 rebounds.

    Prince shot 5-of-10 from the field including 3-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc.

    Prince's Spartak got out to a hot start, taking a 16-2 lead just 24 seconds into the game, Galatasaray was never able to recover.

    The game was Fowles' first trip back to Moscow after helping the Russian side to the 2010 Euroleague Championship.

    Spartak Upset in Euroleague Opener

    Epiphanny Prince scored a team high 22 points and dished out five assists, but defending champion Spartak was upset in its Euroleague opener 81-79 by Vici Aistes.

    Prince shot 9-of-15 from the field and grabbed three rebounds. Spartak is now 2-0 in Russian League play and 0-1 in Euroleague play. Spartak will play Sylvia Fowles and Galatasaray in Round 2 of Euroleague play on November 3.

    Offseason Preview

    After completing her freshman WNBA season in August, Prince began her sophomore season overseas and her first season for Spartak Vidnoe Moscow Region on October 15 with a 79-56 win over SHVSM Moscow.

    Prince scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists in her Russian Superleague debut.

    Eventually Prince will share the backcourt with Sue Bird (Seattle Storm). Other WNBA players on Spartak include Noelle Quinn (Minnesota Lynx), Lauren Jackson (Seattle Storm) and Anete Jekabsone (Connecticut Sun). Throughout the season Prince will run into a few Sky teammates along the way in both Russian league and EuroLeague play. A couple big dates include November 3 when Prince's Spartak will meet Fowles and Galatasaray. Then on November 17, Spartak will tip off against Tarbes and Erin Thorn.

    Meanwhile, Prince's next game is on October 24 against St. Petersburg.
