Courtney Vandersloot played for BGD in Turkey and in 19 games, averaged 14.4 points and 5.5 assists. Prior to joining BGD’s roster, Vandersloot played for Orduspor for the first half of the BKBL season where she averaged 18.3 points and 7.0 assists in nine games.

Update: April 11, 2016

BGD was able to get a much-needed win with an 86-59 drubbing of Orduspor on April 6 despite a quiet game from Vandersloot. She finished the game with two points, three assists and three rebounds. On April 9, BGD was outlasted by top BKBL foe Fenerbahce 78-70. Vandersloot came close to recording a double-double as she had 13 points and a game-high nine assists.

Update: April 4, 2016

BGD topped Besiktas in the BKBL for the second time this season on March 30. Vandersloot led with 22 points and six assists in BGD’s 80-52 win. She shot 5-for-7 (.710) from the three-point line.

Update: March 28, 2016

BGD suffered its second BKBL loss to Galatasaray on March 26, 74-54. The turning point in the game was Galatasaray outscoring BGD 28-18 in the second quarter. A low-scoring fourth quarter buried BGD, as Galatasaray put up 19 points to BGD’s five. Vandersloot, along with two other teammates, were BGD’s top scorers with 12 points.

Update: March 21, 2016

Vandersloot paced BGD with 15 points on March 20, however BGD faltered to Istanbul University, 71-68. BGD made good on only 36 percent of its field goals and are now 9-14 on the season. Vandersloot is averaging 16.8 points and 6.1 assists per game in the BKBL.

Update: March 17, 2016

On March 12, Vandersloot led all scorers with 19 points but BGD fell short against Botas 70-63. BGD faltered from the three-point line as the team shot 15 percent from the beyond the arc. Although Vandersloot had eight rebounds and six assists, BGD was out-rebounded 44-38 and beaten in the assists category, 18-13. BGD was able to bounce back from its previous loss to take down Canik Bld. 71-59 on March 16. Vandersloot led her team in both scoring and assists (16 points and 7 assists).

Update: March 2, 2016

Vandersloot recorded 15 points, eight assists and five rebounds in BGD’s 88-77 loss to Mersin BSB (15-5) on February 28. While BGD (8-12) outscored Mersin 25-18 in the third quarter, they were outscored in the other three quarters, including 27-14 in the second. BGD also had the upper hand in rebounding (48-35). Shooting percentage was also a factor as BGD only shot 52.3% from the floor, whereas BGD shot 47.3% from the field.

Vandersloot continued her all-around play this week with 14 points, seven assists and four rebounds but BGD (8-11) came up short again, falling 90-83 to Edirne (5-14). Despite doing a better job of rebounding this game (35-26), they were unable to outlast Edirne’s run in the fourth quarter.

In a matchup against her teammate Allie Quigley, Vandersloot appeared to have a little extra motivation for the game. She scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Unfortunately for BGD, Fenerbahce was too much to handle. BGD was out-rebounded by the visiting team, 43-27.

Update: January 26, 2016

On January 23, BGD (7-9) hosted KBSL opponent Hatay BSB (12-4) who is ranked second in the league. Hatay BSB opened the game on a hot streak, ending the first quarter with a 27-11 lead. By halftime, the visitors were up 42-29. BGD fell to Hatay BSB 87-69. Vandersloot chipped in six points and six assists.

Update: January 19, 2016

On January 9, Vandersloot helped BGD to a 72-62 victory against Yakin Dogu in a KBSL matchup with 13-point, 10-assist double-double. In BGD’s next game, Vandersloot had a team-high 23 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists en route to an 87-70 blowout win over Adana Aski. BGD’S next game is Saturday, January 23 against Hatay BSB. Currently, Hatay (11-4) is second in the KBSL standings and BGD (7-8) is ninth.

Vandersloot is quickly marking her territory on her new team, BGD. Despite dropping its first game with Vandersloot on the roster, BGD topped Besiktas 73-71 on December 30 and Orduspor (Vandersloot’s former team) 80-69 on January 3. Vandersloot had 26 points against Besiktas and Sky teammate Cappie Pondexter (who scored 26 points, as well) and 17 points and eight assists against Orduspor.

Vandersloot scored a game-high 20 points on December 10 but Orduspor could not top its host opponent. Orduspor fell 64-60 to WBC Dynamo and both teams held the same record (3-2) in Group B of the EuroCup. On December 13, Vandersloot faced her Sky teammate Allie Quigley and both put their talents on display. Vandersloot had a double-double 20 points and 10 assists, and Quigley scored 23 points in the Turkish League contest but Orduspor fell 100-77. In another EuroCup game, Orduspor defeated Udominate Basket 87-68 at home. Vandersloot recorded 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. She is the assist leader in the EuroCup, leading all players with 6.5 assists per game.

Update: December 8, 2015

In EuroCup action on December 3, again Vandersloot almost recorded a triple-double. She scored 11 points and totaled 12 assists and seven rebounds. Orduspor won 80-78 against TTT Riga. In a Turkish League competition on December 6, Orduspor fell to AGU Spor 88-70. Vandersloot had 13 points and seven assists. Orduspor is 12th in Turkish League standings.

In an upsetting loss at Hatay BSB on November 29, Vandersloot recorded a near triple-double. She filled the stat sheet with 19 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. Despite never holding the lead through the end of any quarter, Orduspor kept a close grip on its opponent throughout the entire game. The home team survived 84-80 and maintains its top position in the Turkish League while Orduspor sits in the 10th position. Aside from the team’s low ranking, Vandersloot is the league’s assist leader. She averages 6.83 assists per game, which is 1.2 more than her average in the 2015 WNBA season. Additionally, Vandersloot’s 20-point average makes her the sixth top-scorer in the Turkish League.

Update: November 17, 2015

On November 11, Orduspor faced Udominate Basket in a EuroCup contest. Orduspor defeated its opponent by the same amount of points that Vandersloot scored. Vandersloot posted 17 points and eight assists in Orduspor’s 85-68 victory. With a spark from the previous game, Vandersloot entered Sunday’s game against teammate Erika de Souza with intensity. Vandersloot scored 16 points and was her team’s rebound and assist leader (8 rebounds and 7 assists). Orduspor was defeated 92-84. Vandersloot is ranked second in assists per game (6.2) and third in points per game (20.2) in the Turkish League. She is third in assists per game (5.7) and seventh in the EuroCup in scoring (18.7 ppg).

Update: November 10, 2015

Orduspor won both of its games last week. Vandersloot scored 24 points in the 87-72 win against EuroCup foe WBC Dynamo on November 5. She helped Orduspor to its second win of the week with another 20-plus point performance on November 8, when she posted 22 points, six rebounds and six assists against Near East University. Vandersloot is not only the assists leader in the WNBA this year, but she has taken her crown to Turkey. She leads the Turkish League with 6.0 assists per game and is the fourth best scoring leader in the Turkish League, averaging 21.2 points per game.

Orduspor faced two consecutive losses last week. Its EuroCup game against TTT Riga was a nail biter as both teams were close in scoring the entire game. Turnovers in the final minutes cost Orduspor the game and the team was defeated 75-69 in Latvia. Vandersloot finished with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists. In Turkish League action, Vandersloot shared the top-scoring honor with Jelena Milovanovic, who played for the Washington Mystics in 2014. Both Vandersloot and Milovanovic scored 19 points for Orduspor who fell 78-68 to Istanbul University on November 2.

Update: October 28, 2015

Vandersloot scored a game-high 29 points against Sky teammate Cappie Pondexter and Beşiktaş. Orduspor came out on top 87-63 on Beşiktaş’ home court. Orduspor is 1-1 in the Turkish League and begins EuroCup play this week.

Vandersloot posted 15 points and four assists in her first game this season. Orduspor faced a 79-71 defeat to Galatasaray on their home court. Orduspor is 1-0 in the Turkish League.
