Perfumerias Avenida was victorious in their match up against Gipuzoka. In the victory, De Souza chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds 3 assists, and 2 steals. Avenida will match up against CREF Hola on January 28 in the Spanish League.

In EuroLeague action Avenida lost a lcose match against Hatay 68-64. De Souza had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist.

January 16, 2017
First ranked Russian UMMC Ekaterinburg defeated third ranked Spanish Perfumerias Avenida. UMMC were ahead by 14 points during the first three quarters, until a late run in the last quarter by Avenida cut the final score down 74-68. Erika De Souza contributed 2 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist in the defeat. Avenida however, turned things around when they went against Zamarat on January 15. They pulled away with an 80-73 win. Erika having a much better performance finished the contest with a double double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Perfumerias Avenida will face off against Gipuzkoa on January 21.

January 9, 2017
Erika De Souza returned to action with Perfumerias Avenida in the EuroLeague competition against Nadezhda. De Souza scored 7 points and pulled down 4 boards in the 64-49 loss. Avenida will face Russian powerhouse UMMC Ekaterinburg in the next round of EuroLeague on January 11.

De Souza & Avenida then dominated back home in the Spanish League with a 69-51. De Souza had 10 points and 3 rebounds. Their next game in this league will be against Zamarat on January 14.

Perfumerias Avenida opened the week with a 63-50 win over Bourges. De Souza scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds against Bourges and her Sky teammate Clarissa Dos Santos.
Then, de Souza and Perfumerias Avenida picked up a 70-52 victory over Gran Canaria in domestic play to improve to 12-1 on the season. De Souza played 23 minutes and scored 12 points. She also hauled in seven rebounds.

Avenida will be on a break for the holidays and return to both EuroLeague and domestic play following the new year.

De Souza made her debut for Spain’s Perfumerias Avenida in its EuroLeague matchup against CCC Polkowice on November 30, winning 81-60. De Souza played 23 minutes and came one rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 14 points and nine rebounds. On Saturday as the team picked up a 70-51 victory over Araski in domestic play. De Souza played 28 minutes and scored 10 points. She also grabbed six rebounds.

Avenida will be back in EuroLeague action against Hungary’s Uniqa Sopron on Wednesday (12/7) and back in domestic action against Bembibre on Saturday (12/10).
