Facing the Mystics
Washington and Chicago have already played twice against each other this season, with Washington capturing both wins. Overall, the Sky have a 22-27 record against the Mystics.
In their first game against the Mystics, Cheyenne Parker came off the bench to lead the team in points and rebounds as well as recording 88.3 percent from the free throw line, her season high. The Sky’s defense held the Mystics to 27.3 percent from behind the arc.
Their second meeting of the season came as a highly anticipated matchup as former Sky player Elena Delle Donne returned to Chicago. Despite losing, rookie Gabby Williams notched her season high from behind the free throw line sinking 6-for-6 shots as well as leading the team in rebounds. The Sky outscored the Mystics in the paint 30 to 22 as well as in fast break points by four. Chicago has outscored their opponents in fast break points in their last five games, look out for them to continue to create these opportunities.
The Sky remain on the brink of a playoff appearance, with a win against the Mystics giving the team an extra push to grab the No. 8 seed in their remaining games this season.
