Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot had a career game in route to the Sky’s 114-99 home win on Friday against the Dallas Wings at Wintrust Arena. Vandersloot finished the game with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists, which was the first triple-double in Chicago Sky franchise history.
“[It’s ] thanks to my teammates,” Vandersloot said. “It felt good. It feels good to finally get a triple-double. What a fun game, you know? [Kahleah Copper] was awesome and everybody stepped up. We needed a win tonight, and that’s most important”
Vandersloot’s 15 assists is a career-high for her and is a franchise record. She also broke her own record for assists in a half with 10 in the first half tonight. She had nine assists in the second half against the Los Angeles Sparks on July 20, 2017, exactly one year ago.
The Sky are back in action at 5:00 p.m. CST Sunday against the Los Angeles Sparks at Wintrust Arena. Tickets, starting as low as $13, are still available by calling 866.SKY.WNBA or by visiting sky.wnba.com/tickets.
