The Chicago Sky have waived guard Amarah Coleman and center Renee Bennett, the team announced.
Coleman joined the Sky when she was selected in the third round of the 2018 WNBA Draft with the No. 28 overall pick. In the team’s first two preseason matchups, she scored three points and averaged five minutes per game.
Bennett was signed to a free agent contract by the Sky on May 4. She totaled eight minutes, two points, one assist, and one rebound during preseason play.
The Sky’s current training camp roster sits at 13. Diamond DeShields, Astou Ndour, and Courtney Vandersloot are still set to rejoin the team as they finish their respective competitions overseas. The team will be in action again on Saturday, May 12 at 7 p.m. as they wrap up the preseason against Minnesota.
General Manager and Head Coach Amber Stocks must have the 12-player roster finalized by Thursday, May 17. The Chicago Sky tips off its 13th season on Saturday, May 19 against the Indiana Fever before heading home to participate in #WNBAAllDay on Sunday, May 20.
