2021 PRIDE Spotlight: Chicago Rentals

About Chicago Rentals:

Chicago Rentals started with me and my motorcycle. I was able to develop a database of rental buildings that we now work with throughout the city of Chicago. After joining the LGBTCC and BNI Chicago, we’ve created an incredible network of people that we work with, and communities that we are well-known within.

What does PRIDE month mean to your company?

PRIDE month is an entire month of celebrating diversity and inclusion. That’s why we joined the LGBT chamber of commerce, to continue to grow our community through ethical business practices and working within our networks.

How have you integrated the message of acceptance and inclusion into your business?

We are minority-owned and neighborhood focused. We pride ourselves on trying to help everyone that comes to our table. Whether we can work with them or not, we help them get to the next step that they need to find a good home. We truly believe in equitable and fair housing in Chicago.

What can members of the Chicago community learn from PRIDE month?

PRIDE is more than a celebration, it’s a movement for people still trying to receive the same rights as others. I think we should continue on working towards these ideals, helping communities that still need help.
