Sky to Hold Open Tryouts

If you think you have what it takes to play in the WNBA, this is your chance! For just $100, the Sky invite all professional basketball hopefuls (see below for eligibility criteria) to this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Tryouts will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to 1p.m. at Sachs Recreation Center in Deerfield, Ill.

You not only get to showcase your talents to Sky Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman, and Assistant Coaches Jeff House and Christie Sides but you'll also receive a Chicago Sky practice jersey, gift bag, a ticket to any 2011 Sky regular season home game and a portion of your registration fee will be donated to Sky Cares. The Sky Cares Foundation supports the Sky�s mission of building girls� self-esteem and providing girls and young women with positive mentors. Sky Cares is deeply committed to creating programs that promote a healthy lifestyle and positive self-image, through education and support for youth and family development initiatives

* To be eligible to attend the Sky Open Tryouts you must meet one of the following criteria:

i) You must have graduated from college or your class must have graduated

ii) You must be at least 20 years old and have two years of professional playing experience prior to attending the Tryout
