Chicago Sky center Michelle Snow put on an extraordinary performance last week overseas playing for her team and top-ranked Dynamo Kursk. Snow received the Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4 play.
Snow had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat sixth ranked Spartak Noginsk 76-66 on Saturday, Oct. 29. Thanks to Snows great performance Dynamo Kursk has a share of first place in the Russian League. Dynamo Kursk maintains a perfect record in the league, and is tied with Chicago Sky Head Coach Pokey Chatmans team Spartak V MR and UMMC at 4-0. The season is still in the early stages, but Dynamo Kursk is off to a great start winning all 4 of their games. Snow is one of Dynamo Kursks top players in just her first season with the team. The former University of Tennessee star has solid stats this year. Snow is in the league's top 10 in points (8th best: 15.3ppg), rebounds (8th best: 7.5rpg) and averages an impressive 55.0% FGP.
Other nominees for Player of the Week were former international center Varvara Psareva and Minnesota Lynx Rebekkah Brunson.
