The Sky and Loyola Academy hosted a fun youth basketball clinic on Saturday where 50 boys and girls worked with Sky staff and Loyola Academy athletes on their shooting techniques, ball handling drills and various other components needed to give each player the tools to succeed on the court.

The kids were really excited when they got into the gym, said Julie Bielawski, youth basketball coordinator for the Chicago Sky. They listened and took directions really well. It was a lot of fun and I cant wait for our other clinics.

The clinic was open to boys and girls ages 7-11, and after 2 hours of on-court instruction the participants enjoyed a pizza party and a question and answer session with the Sky and Ramblers. Participants in the clinic also had great seats to watch the Ramblers warm-up and beat one of the best teams in Illinois, No. 17 Benet Academy 43-39. This Summer all participants will also enjoy a Chicago Sky game at Allstate Arena.

The Sky will be holding another youth basketball clinic on December 17 at Westminister Christian in Elgin, Illinois. For more information or to register for upcoming clinics visit chicagosky.net or contact Julie Bielawski at 312-994-5990 or jbielawski@chicagosky.net.
