In her second full season with the Sky, veteran sharpshooter Erin Thorn frequently hit her mark.

Thorn led the Sky and was No. 7 in the league in 3-point field goal percentage (.420). She was also tops on the Sky with 42, 3-pointers made in her eighth year in the WNBA.

All shooters go through hot and cold streaks. No streak Erin went through was hotter than in the Skys game against the Connecticut Sun on June 22.

In the Skys 86-77 win over the Sun Thorn was perfect. She scored a season-high 18 points on 5-of-5 shooting from the field including 3-of-3 from behind the 3-point line. Thorn also made all five of her free throw attempts.

One of her 3s helped end a Sun run that saw Connecticut pull to within one point, 2:30 into the second half. She also made three consecutive free throws to ice the game in the final 20 seconds.

Thorn, a career .870 percent free throw shooter, made 88.9% of her free throws in 2010. In the Skys 88-82 win over host Atlanta on July 3, Thorn made a career-high 9-of-10 free throws. She finished the game with 14 points and also grabbed a season-high five rebounds.

Thorn was a constant off the bench of the Sky in 2010. She averaged 20.1 minutes per game and played in all 34 Sky games.

For a team that played with a short bench for most of the season, Thorn also displayed her versatility on both ends of the floor seeing time at the 1, 2 and 3 spots.

Erin Thorn proved again to be a consistent shooter who can fill multiple roles throughout a basketball season as needed. In 2011 Sky Fans should expect another steady season from this sharpshooter.
