Chicago Sky Waives Brooklyn Pope and Britney Jones

The Chicago Sky announced today that forward Brooklyn Pope and guard Britney Jones have been waived from the team. The roster now stands at 14 players. Pope, a 6-foot-1-inch forward, was selected by the Sky with the 28 overall pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft. While at Baylor, she was named to the All-Big 12 honorable mention team and helped the Bears capture the 2012 NCAA national title. Pope averaged 10.3 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game during the 2013 season.

Britney Jones, a 5-foot-8-inch guard, was a training camp free agent signed in May. The Chicago native spent the 2012 season with Icelands Fjoinir where she averaged 29 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. She was a Conference USA Sixth Player of the Year award recipient in 2007.
