Centennial High School Named Action Floor Systems High School Team of the Week

Centennial High School Named Action Floor Systems High School Team of the Week

The Centennial Chargers girls junior varsity began the 2011-12 season by challenging themselves and playing up a level in a varsity tournament. While they faced heartache in that tournament it enabled them to be better prepared. Since then the team dominated their regular season accumulating only two losses between November and February. This team epitomized off-court success in a variety of ways with 8 of the 11 team members being on the honor roll and the entire team giving up their time to participate in an annual fundraising endeavor for Coaches vs. Cancer where they raised funds for the American Cancer Society.

As an Action Floor Systems High School Team of the Week award winner, the team will be provided a complimentary Team Night Out ticket package to a 2012 Sky regular season home game at Allstate Arena, where they will have the opportunity to watch the worlds best female basketball players. During the game, they will be honored on court and will receive an award to recognize their accomplishments.

The Sky will recognize a new High School Team of the Week award winner every week until February 17, 2012. To nominate a team for the Action Floor Systems High School Team of the Week, click here. The Sky will accept nominations from parents, coaches, faculty members, and players.
