Jessica Breland played for Jiangsu in the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). She was Jiangsu’s top player, averaging 16.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.

Jiangsu won both of its games over the week, with a big road against Heilongjiang. Jiangsu is currently 5-2.

Jiangsu won two of its three games last week, against Shandong on November 28 and Henan (against teammate Cheyenne Parker) on December 1. Breland is Jiangsu’s leading scorer (16.1 ppg) and top rebounder (8.3 rpg).

As stage two of the WCBA begins, Jiangsu is currently 1-1. Breland had a stellar performance against Heilongjiang, as she recorded 25 points along with 11 rebounds in Jiangsu’s 89-76 win on November 21. Jiangsu was disappointed in a close matchup on November 24 against Bayi, taking an 82-79 defeat on the road.

Only four teams in the WCBA continue to play through break. Jiangsu is 1-1 against Beijing in the qualifying round. Jiansu dropped its first contest against Beijing 78-62. Breland contributed four points and three rebounds in a game where Jiangsu was outrebounded 42-20. Redemption was found as Jiangsu topped its opponent on November 17 67-54 with 20 points and 13 rebounds by Breland.

Breland dominated the floor on November 5 when Jiangsu went up against Cheyenne Parker and Henan. Jiangsu scored 70 of its 94 points in the post, led by Breland who had a game-high 28 points on 14-of-15 (.933) shooting from the field. Breland excelled on both ends of the floor, as she collected eight rebounds and four steals. Breland’s game-high 25 points helped Jiangsu to its second win of the week, a 91-71 landslide that snapped Shanghai’s five-game winning streak. Breland recorded another game high on November 10 when she scored 18 points and gathered 12 rebounds and three blocks. Jiangsu went on to defeat Bayi, who dropped to fourth in the WCBA with the loss. Jiangsu is now tied in second place with three other teams.

Breland was the top scorer and rebounder in Jiangsu’s 78-72 downfall to Bayi. She recorded a double double 19 points and 10 rebounds. The team came back with a 21-point win on October 31 against rival Shandong. Breland posted 16 rebounds and nine points. Jiangsu is tied in third place with three other teams in the WCBA. Breland is ranked sixth in the WCBA in rebounds per game (9.6).

In Breland’s first week playing for Jiangsu, the team went 1-1. Breland scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Jiangsu defeated Henan 59-45 on October 22. Fellow Sky teammate Cheyenne Parker did not play in the matchup. Jiangsu traveled to Shanghai on October 24 but came up short 91-80. Breland recorded 12 points, six rebounds and three steals.
