The Chicago Sky wraps up preseason play with a matchup against the Atlanta Dream today at 4 p.m. CT at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.
The Sky proved especially adept last season at fending off opposing teams’ prying hands, committing a league-low 389 turnovers. The Dream led the WNBA in steals during the 2015 season with a team total of 314.
The Sky is 1-1 in the preseason after an 84-81 loss to the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday. Elena Delle Donne continued her hot shooting for the Sky following up a 17-point outing on 7-for-8 shooting against the Liberty on May 1 with 13 points in last night’s game while going 5-for-5 from the field. She is now shooting 92 percent in preseason play.
Last season the Sky split two preseason games at Mohegan Sun Arena, falling to the Los Angeles Sparks 76-67 in their opening game before defeating the China Olympic Team 92-59 the following evening.
The Sky will have a short break before the regular season opener on Saturday, May 14 when Chicago hosts Connecticut. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT at Allstate Arena.
