As part of a multi-year partnership with Weigel Broadcasting Co., 26 regular season Chicago Sky games, home and away, will be shown on The U Too this season. Highlights on the 2017 broadcast schedule include the Sky kicking off the season on Sunday, May 14 against Maya Moore and the Minnesota Lynx, followed by the Sky’s home opener on Friday, May 19 against the Atlanta Dream. On June 1, watch when the Sky take on dynamic duo Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner as they face off against the Phoenix Mercury.
“Sky basketball broadcasts are once again a highlight of our summer broadcast schedule on The U Too,” said Steven Farber, Weigel Broadcasting SVP/Operations. “We are proud to bring more live local programming to Chicago sports fans.”
The U Too, a sister station of WCIU, The U, will air the regular season with returning Sky broadcast team Stephen Bardo, Lisa Byington and Patricia Babcock-McGraw. They will call The U Too telecasts as color analyst, play-by-play announcer and sideline reporter, respectively, along with all home WNBA League Pass webcasts. Viewers can find The U Too on WCIU-TV over the air on channel 26.2, XFINITY 230/360, RCN 35, WOW 107 and U-Verse 24 (check local listings).

Entering the WNBA’s 21st season, Weigel Broadcasting Co. and the Chicago Sky expect both the team and television ratings to show continued growth throughout the 2017 season.
