The Chicago Sky has launched a new platform to honor inspiring women beginning in the 2016 WNBA Season. The #RedefinePossible Women’s Leadership Award was created to recognize women that serve as an inspiration to others by making a positive impact in the community and redefining possible for those around them.
“This is a platform that everyone can get involved in,” said Chicago Sky President and CEO Adam Fox. “We all have incredible women in our lives. So whether it’s your wife, mother, daughter, co-worker, teacher, student, or friend, we all know someone has impacted our lives in a special way and we encourage you submit a nomination and take the time to say ‘Thank You.’”
During each home game from May 14 through September 16, the Sky will honor one #RedefinePossible Women’s Leadership Award winner with a center-court presentation during a break in the game. Each #RedefinePossible Women’s Leadership Award winner will be profiled on the Sky’s website and receive a game night experience inside the VIP Courtside Club at Allstate Arena. Honorees will also have access to a discount ticket link to share with colleagues, friends and family members to obtain tickets in support of the award recognition.
Females of any age are eligible to be honored. Nominations can be made online or by submitting a form to Jasmine Allen via email at email@example.com or by mail to the Chicago Sky offices located at 5500 W. Howard, Skokie, IL 60077 (ATTN: #REDEFINEPOSSIBLE Women’s Leadership Award). Nominations begin immediately and will be collated on the 22nd of each month to determine the winners for the upcoming month. Final nominations close on Friday, July 22nd at 5:00 p.m. CDT.
