The Chicago Sky Powering Lives STEM Support Program presented by ComEd is an opportunity for Chicago-land youth to showcase their innovative ideas on ways they can make communities and/or the Chicago-land area in general a better place through Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.

INSTRUCTIONS, RULES & RESTRICTIONS


  • 2017 Chicago Sky Powering Lives STEM Support Program presented by ComEd is for CPS STEM Groups & Chicagoland Not for Profit Summer Youth STEM Programs
    • Before submitting your project, or program, administrators must fill out an entry form on www.chicagosky.net/comed to receive the $250 supply stipend
    • Administrators must submit one (1) innovation, idea, or creation using the components of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
    • Projects should help solve a problem on a local scale (school, community, or Chicago-land area). No explosives or flying objects allowed.
    • Ten (10) selected programs will bring their submitted projects to the Chicago Sky game on May 24th at Allstate Arena in which the projects will be voted on by ComEd, Chicago Sky representatives and fans to decide the top three (3) projects
    • Selected programs will receive:
      • Up to 40 tickets to the May 24th game (all group members) and Free Bus Transportation
      • A concourse table to display project
    • All ten (10) groups will receive contest participation certificates
    • Top 3 winners will receive the following:
      • 1st Place Winner will receive $1000 and Chicago Sky t-shirts
      • 2nd Place Winner will receive $500
      • 3rd Place Winner will receive $250
    • Winners will be announced after the 3rd quarter
    • Deadline for all submissions is Wednesday, March 1, 2017
