Week 2: Harlan High School

The Chicago Sky has selected Harlan High School as the second weekly winner of its 2018 “High School Team of the Week” program presented by Robert Morris University Illinois. The Lady Falcons receive the recognition after being nominated for their achievements on the court, in the classroom and in the community.
The Lady Falcons are currently 6-4 on the season including defeating Bogan High School, one of the top teams in the state for the last seven years. The team has also achieved success in the classroom, the student-athletes have maintained a team grade point of 3.2 and six of their players have offers to play basketball at the next level.

Off the court, the girls volunteer with the One Summer Chicago program to help improve the community as well as with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Rho Gamma Gamma Chapter, at their food pantry in the Morgan Park Neighborhood.

Supported by Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, each Chicago Sky “High School Team of the Week” award winner will be invited to enjoy a Chicago Sky game, where they will have the opportunity to watch the world’s best female basketball players. At halftime of the game, the team will be honored at center court.
